Keeping up with Claire: Week 27 and 6 mo check up

She is 16.9 lbs and 26.5 in long! "Perfect baby girl" as Dr. H said!

Her shots wore little miss out. 

Two week checkup

You had your first doctors visit this past Friday. It was your "2 week" check up but occurred a week later.

You weighed 9lbs 6ozs and were 21 inches long. That puts you in the 75th percentile.

Your head measures in the 93%. That will be monitored, but chances are big heads run in the family. It just means me, you, and Wyatt have big brains!

6 month check up

This morning we had Wyatt's 6 month check up.

Here are his stats:

Weight: 21.6 lbs (95th percentile)

Height: 27.5 in (90th percentile)

We've got us a pretty big boy, but we already knew that!

Here's me and baby...excuse my just woke up look/hair. Ryan and I caught up on 5 weeks of Revenge (my new favorite show!!!) and didn't get to bed until 12:30 and I was certain I had set the alarm for 7. Instead, I woke up at 7:45 and we rushed around to get out of the house by 8:20...we made it at least!

 Daddy even came this time! I think his heart broke just as much as mine when he saw Wyatt getting his shots. I've taken him by myself for the shots but daddy came this time. I'm sure it will be his last!

Wyatt was sweet enough to share some milk with daddy...in the form of spit-up, but whatever. That's love.

The shots weren't near as possible this time around. Wyatt cried for maybe 3 minutes (seemed like 30) and then he was okay. He was snoozing before we even got to the stoplight leaving the doctors so we went to Chick-Fil-A to get some breakfast. Yum! He is snoozing soundly in his bed right now and I can't help but keep peeking in on him just to make sure he's okay.

We are so blessed to have a healthy, thriving little big boy!!

4 month appointment

If he only knew what was about to happen...

4 month shots were today...they were not fun and you have been a Grumpy McGrumpster today. It's fine though, I forgive you. I thought you were going to have an okay day after we saw daddy at lunch and you were just as happy as you could be seeing him...But then after we got home you cried for a solid 20 minutes...while I held you...while I cried with you. I finally got you calmed down and you are now snoozing next to me. Poor little guy.

At 4 months:

-Weigh 17.11 lbs

-25.5 inches long

-Eat every 3 hours, which is 5 8oz bottles a day + cereal with your second bottle

-Wear size 3 diapers

-Wear 3-6 but they are getting tight, 6, and  6-9 month clothes

-Sleep from about 9ish-8 every night

-Can almost roll back to belly

-Love your voice- you sometimes "yell" at us and we feel like we are getting in trouble

-Love you feet and hands

-You don't mind riding in your carseat because you and your bird always have the best conversations

-While conversing with your bird, you will fight sleep so bad.

-You only take a paci for about 2 minutes when you are laid down for a nap, but we go and pull it out after those couple minutes if you haven't spit it out already. It's actually weird to see you with a pacifier if you aren't in your crib. It's my goal to keep them strictly in the "bedroom" and pull the plug completely by 8 months.

-You do love your cereal and we are going to start on veggies real soon

-Marley is becoming more and more of your puppy and it's pretty dang cute

-You are the absolute cutest, most sweetest thing in the mornings! On weekends, daddy will go get you, change you, and bring you in bed with us for some oohing and ahhhing about how cute a kid we have. It's pretty much my favorite time ever!

4 months have flown by and I am so very thankful for the sweet, healthy baby we have!
