This is our life...it's crazy, it's hectic, but most of all it's fun!

Hump Day

It’s no secret that I love Wednesdays. While most people are simply relieved that they have reached that mid-week point, I on the other hand am anxious to hop out of bed on Wednesday mornings. In case you didn’t realize, it’s my Friday. And everybody loves Fridays!

Tomorrow we are leaving for St. Louis…with baby in tow. Are we crazy? It’s possible.

We are going to two Braves/Cardinals games while we are there and we are hoping that Wyatt continues to be the precious well-behaved baby that he is. Lucky for us he is a walker so it should be a lot easier to entertain him…we just let him walk. Ahh, how simple life must be.

We also plan to take him to the zoo, do some shopping, and lots of yummy eating. Cheesecake Factory anyone? Oh, and Charlie Gitto’s!

It’s still entertaining to me that we decided to take the baby with us on this adventure. His first Major League Baseball game- so fun!!

Say a little prayer for safe travels if you don’t mind. (And the sanity of mommy and daddy and a 6 hour road trip!) I am just hoping that my love bug that doesn’t watch any TV will settle in nicely with a couple DVDs I’ve got him. Pu-lease!

Off to pack for 3 people for 4 days! Have a great rest of the week and weekend!

The weekend

I know the weekend isn't over yet, but our fun quota may have been met already. I just put the baby in his bed, Ryan is curled up with some Oreos and milk so I would say we are done for the day.

I actually convinced Ryan to walk/run Nebo with me last night. He truly thought he was dying and actually said at one point, "Bunney I don't mean to be a pansy, but..." I believe he was hoping for a "well we can turn back now" but I responded with "just two more loops." That's what good workout partners do though, right? Encourage. Torture? Yes, I thought so.

Wyatt got a treat by staying the night with his Mimi last night. This morning we went to get him and took him to Karsyn's 6th birthday party.
It was such a cute cowgirl themed party and Wyatt had lots of fun.
Okay I  lied.
He screamed when I snatched him up for a second for a picture. A second. He had things to do and food to eat and apparently mommy should have known better.

I was sad that my memory card was in the computer and not in my camera. I could have got some really cute pictures of the baby.

After the party we came home and rested for a bit. By rested I really mean we hoped the baby would chill out and take a nap but it was clearly not on his agenda so we just got around and went to eat and shopping.

Since it is Cinco de Mayo we decided Mexican was appropriate. Did I ever mention that I am addicted to guacamole? Well I am. I only wish I had a really good recipe for it. Actually, I'm not because that along with some tortilla chips is definitely not bikini body friendly.
I went with my usual- chicken enchiladas.
There may have not been hardly anything left after this.

After some Mexican we treated ourselves to a sno cone. We tried out Tropical Sno and I have to confess I think I like Lana's better and here's why...my favorite flavors are Pokemon and Ninja Turtle. We settled for a wedding cake and it was good, but I just don't like the "traditional" sno cones. However, I totally dig the cup thing. Best .50 I ever spent!
Baby was not happy while we were getting him in the carseat. I guess he was afraid he wasn't getting any.
And he didn't.

Okay, I kid. I kid.
A small doesn't go very far between 3 people, but then again it's not like we needed all that anyway...

Hope you've all had a great weekend so far!

The Outhouse

We got this little tent for Wyatt for his birthday and he pretty much loves it.
See:
Well, this morning Wyatt woke up a little after 7:30 so he was running around while we got ready. Ryan was in the shower, I was getting ready and suddenly the house got quiet. As a mother,  you immediately know that once the house goes quiet something is definitely up. A few minutes later I heard a little giggle so I decided to go see what the boy was up to. I poked my head in our bedroom, then our bathroom, and then Wyatt's room. No sign of him. When I turned around to leave his room I heard another little giggle coming from his tent.
I barely opened the flap and there he was just a smiling and happy. It was the cutest thing ever. Almost like he was playing hide-n-seek. But then, suddenly I smelled the stinky that he had lovingly filled his diaper with.
I guess he was using the tent as an outhouse and needed some privacy. The above picture cracks me up...I wish I had taken a little extra time to focus on him and not Marley.
He is everywhere. Everywhere.

Today we went to go fill up my vehicle and while Ryan was switching the carseat from vehicle to vehicle I noticed Wyatt was dragging everything out of his diaper bag on the floor. No big deal...so long as it is keeping him occupied I didn't mind. It wasn't until I heard some crunchy and found this:
We truly have a little piggy living in our house. That is an unopened package of graham crackers and, mind you, Wyatt just had dinner but I guess he was still hungry...so hungry he chewed a hole in the package. Oh dear. Do other babies eat as much as mine?

Indian Fry Bread

I love the Pioneer Woman blog a lot. I've made a lot of recipes from the sight and I randomly came across this one to make Indian Fry Bread. What is Indian Fry Bread?  Um, only the best thing in the world.

I am 1/2 Indian. This is right up my alley.

In all seriousness I have been eating this since I was little. The first time I told Ryan we were going to my parent's to eat Indian Tacos I'm sure he thinking since I'm Indian my family simply calls it that. Kinda true. Ha! This is one of my favorite things ever to eat and Sunday when we went over for dinner I decided I was going to make the fry bread this time. It was my first time ever in my life...as many times as I have seen my mother do it I could have never gone into the kitchen and done it by myself, but now I can!

Um, no one said it was healthy.

Like mom's fancy plates? In her defense, they had just gotten back from a fishing tournament dad was in so they had been on the lake all weekend. She text saying they needed some Wyatt time so we headed over. Can't blame her for wanting to make life a little easier!

Mom's recipe is a little different from Ree's, but still pretty simple!

Thanks momma for teaching me how to make Fry Bread. I'm sure Ryan and Wyatt are equally excited!

Boat ride

Friday afternoon Ryan told me to go get the baby a life jacket so we could take him for a little boat ride.

And look at this picture:
Who is that little man and where is my BABY?!

It is crazy that sometimes I can look at Wyatt and see nothing but a sweet squishy baby and then 3 seconds later see nothing but a handsome little boy.
All those times I tried so hard to get those first pictures of those little toofers and here they are just a shining.

He enjoyed when we were in motion the most. He thought the motor was a toy because of the sound and so he would get ticked when we were just sitting there. We enjoyed being outside on the lake for about 30 minutes before we started to become a hungry grumpy pants. Nonetheless he was super cute in his life jacket!

Say it ain't so

True confession: I had a cookie Thursday. And Friday. And Saturday.
What the heck is wrong with me!?

Someone else couldn't get enough of it either...
Like mother, like son?
Then he proceeded to look for some milk.

Did I mention Wyatt is in love with the fridge? He could be half way across the house and the second that the door opens he will be RIGHT there. I'm telling you, baby likes to eat.

(Head hung in shame)

I had another cookie this evening.

I guess I am seriously trying to burn myself out on them. That, or Aunt Flo is coming with a vengeance this month. Ha!
