Friday night we settled in to watch two movies.
The first one we watched was Courageous and oh my word. If you have children you need to immediately stop what you are doing and watch this movie. I feel like I could do an entire post on this movie. We also watched Straw Dogs. It was pretty good, but definitely my least favorite of all the movies we watched this weekend.
Saturday, we had nada to do so we just hung around the house, played with the baby, and then got around to go to town. We got back and that's when my sweet precious baby ate a cricket. You read that right. He ate a cricket. Okay, okay...to be fair he had a cricket in his mouth. I caught him putting something in his mouth and asked Ryan to check it out. When he said he couldn't find it, so I tried to dig out whatever it was and you can imagine my surprise when I pulled out a cricket. That was still alive. I was immediately grossed out, but was immediately thankful that it was not a slug. Yes, my dear husband once ate a slug.
He just looks like a bored little boy here.
Saturday evening we went to Ryan's mom's for some homemade potato soup and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. It was very spur of the moment, but I'm definitely glad we went. We got home and watch two more more movies: Moneyball and The Ides of March. Both were really good! After you go out and watch Courageous be sure to pick up Moneyball too.Sunday we got to church on time. Rarity I'm tellin' ya. After church we went to a pancake fundraiser at a restaurant here in town for a couple in our church that is raising money to adopt a child. Wyatt just about ate his weight in pancakes. Afterwards we just came home hung out before I left to go walk up Mt. Nebo.
He was so cute in his overalls from Mimi and Pawpaw!
Once I got home, I started supper while Ryan watched the game. I can honestly say I didn't see one commercial of the Super Bowl. A little sad, since that's the main reason I watch it, but you know when you have a kid that needs to be played with and kitchen that needs to be cleaned, that comes first. And, if I am being 100% honest, I was just ready for the game to be over so we could watch The Voice. I am so happy this is back on!! We always like to guess who the singer will go with. So far I am 0/2.
Hope that you have a great week!
Courageous was an excellent movie!!! We watched it last Wednesday at church. Do you go to the Journey in Russellville? I've seen your picture pop up om the screen a few times.
ReplyDeleteNo we don't go to the Journey. Are you sure it's me? I'm a little weirded out not going to lie haha. Maybe I have a twin?
ReplyDeletePositive it is you because Ryan and Wyatt are in the picture too.
