Yep, cotton.

 

Anytime we drive past rows of cotton I always tell Ryan I'd like some "real" cotton. On his way home today he happened to pass some that had blown across the road and actually pulled over and got it for me. I have such a sweet husband, right?

 

We are pretty silly.

 

(Also, please not my use of emoticons. I crack myself up with them and Ryan secretly enjoys them too. Even if he won't admit it.)

Anniversaries

Me: Bunney let's go back to Alaska.

Ryan: I'd like to.

Me: Okay. We can go for our 10 year anniversary. That's in... 6 years. Niiine? Seven. (In confident tone) Seven years.

We don't know how long we've been married apparently (feels like 10). Afterwards he said he was going to agree with the 6 until I realized that wasn't right.

Hopefully when our 10 year anniversary rolls around we will remember we decided on Alaska. Wonder what the glaciers will look like then?!

Dominating.

 

Today I took it upon myself to start Wyatt's costume. I was rockin' and rollin' and actually pretty proud of myself.

I am just a leeettle bit excited about seeing him dressed up in it! He will be so stinkin' cute I'm positive of it.

And, I've also used my handy-dandy sewing skills to sew these buttons on the shirt I picked up today.

 

I know, I know. I could pretty much sell these in real life. I think Ryan was surprised I sewed them on all by myself.

Violet Beauregarde, oh yes. I'm all nice and round like she is so I think it's perfect.

 

Ryan will be Willy Wonka. I think. Depends on how crafty I can get. Regardless he will be dressed up as one of the characters.

 

So while I dominated in the area of costumes, I also dominated in the kitchen...

 

So what if a few minutes before 8 I decided I needed homemade peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies...

 

When Ryan heard me banging around in the kitchen he asked what the heck I was doing and I replied with making some cookies. I am 100% positive I ticked him off. He gets annoyed with me easily, did I ever mention that? Well, he does. I do ridiculous stuff like this and he tells me this is the reason I'm fat.

 

I don't argue.

 

It was worth is because I have no doubt these were the best cookies from scratch I have made. I may have found a recipe that I really like!! Finally!!

Yesterday was our two year anniversary and since it was also Picture Day for Wyatt I decided to hold off on posting some of my favorite wedding pictures today. I should first start out saying that I am forever thankful for Courtney and her decision to contact me via Facebook while on our mini-moon and tell me the horror story that her friend experienced with the photographer we had hired. If it hadn’t been for her and our quick thinking to play their game and “scam” them back we probably would have never received our wedding pictures. (It was so bad that the local news actually did a segment on the couple who were notorious for taking engagement pictures, returning them promptly, taking the wedding pictures and then NEVER having any contact with the couples again. So 15+ couples never received their wedding pictures. That is completely tragic to me. We decided to tell our photographers that we had a potential client that wanted to see hard copies and not computer proofs because they were looking for a photographer and were seriously interested in ours but we had a specific weekend we were going to see them so we really needed them by that date. I swear this is the ONLY reason we got our wedding pictures back from them because they saw it as a potential person to scam. So sad. It was well over a year after our wedding (after they moved to Texas-once she was off probation from jail!!) that I received my proofs that I was entitled to.) Long story, no? Nonetheless, I am happy that Courtney chose a different photographer for her wedding and that she went out on a limb to contact me (someone she didn’t even know) and help a sister out. We have been “friends” (Facebook and Blog) since then and I hope to meet her in real life soon. I don’t have a friend named Courtney so Ryan is finally beginning to pick up on who “Courtney” is and I don’t have to keep calling her “my blog friend Courtney.” Ha!

You are such a blessing in my life whether I tell you enough or not You are without a doubt that most annoying person that I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and how lucky I am to be stuck with your for life. People must be jealous. I look forward to many, many years together when you are morbidly obese from all the late night Oreos. I love how those reading this love letter to you will think I am nothing but a bitty to you, but in fact you are eating it right up because that's just how we work. You will forever be my love, my Bunney, my baby daddy, and the one I go to first. I love you so much and I thank you for 2 great years so far.

2nd Anniversary Trip

This past weekend Ryan and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary. Aww, two years already? How is that even possible? Our actual anniverary is on Tuesday the 20th but we celebrated early.

Friday we loaded up to take the baby to stay with Nana and Pa. Seconds before we left the UPS dropped off my Nikon camera! Woo!! I wasn't even expecting it because I had checked it the night before and it was still in the shop. I guess they had finished and overnighted it to me all for free!! My flash had broke not even two weeks after I got it back the first time and I sent it back in and they fixed it immediately and for free. I have been very satisfied with their customer service! Anyway... We had just woke him up from his nap and you can definitely tell.

 One we said our always sad goodbyes we got on the road and headed to Salesville, AR which is a few miles outside of Mountain Home. On the way we channeled our inner antiquers and conquered two stores. Lots of laughs in these two stores and luckily sadly we left empty handed.

We stayed in a cute little cabin with this loft...also known as Wyatt's future sleeping quarteres. Ryan is showing it off, but it appears as though he is calling for his Juliet.

 We went to Mountain Home to eat dinner and see a movie. I highly suggest 21 Jump Street if you want to see a funny movie! Afterwards, I thought it would be hilarious to ride in the center on the way home...

That's what love birds do, no?

 I honestly felt like we were 16 and just soooo in love.

Our cabin was right on the river and it was so nice and relaxing.

Saturday we slept in until about 8:30 and got around and on the White River by 10:30. I absolutely love trout fishing and I have beat Ryan since 2009.

I caught the first (and last) fish on our trip.

This was the first holiday I didn't get to spend with the baby. I missed St. Patrick's Day with him but I was sure to pack him so green so he didn't get pinched! This is the picture my MIL sent us.

Saturday night we returned to Mtn. Home again and ate at a little restaurant called 870 Bistro. If you are up there I highly suggest you eat there. Very good!

We got back to the cabin and were in bed by 9:52. Party animals.

We got up Sunday at 8:30 again and packed up and got ready to head home and get our sweet baby boy!

This lovely gift certificate for a mani and pedi was in my car with it a note on the envelope saying "Thanks for working so hard and making the house look great!!"

Aww.

But now, after everything I refuse to do he says, "But Bunney, I got you a mani/pedi."

Ulterior motive? I think yes.

44 weeks and Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

Today, on this special day sprinkled with extra love, our sweet little boy turned another week older. 44 weeks old! Let’s do the math: 52-44=8. So only 8 more weeks until he turns the big 1!!

This morning, we all exchanged Valentine’s cards and Daddy got mommy some Miniature Reese’s cups. We hardly do gift exchanges for this holiday. He decided he is getting something for his gun and I’m going on a shopping trip later this week. We are also doing our “date” this weekend. We are super romantic can’t you tell? We did get the baby some books for his Valentine’s gift though. Can never have too many of those. I also ordered these yummy little suckers too.

Wyatt gave all his grandparents their Valentine’s cards too. He is such a sweet, sweet little boy. He must get that from him momma. He got some money for his savings account and Elmo from his grandparents in return. He isn’t spoiled in the least.

In honor of V-Day, I decided to do this little quiz about me and my Valentine:

How long have you and your significant other been together? Total? 3 years and 3 months.

How did you meet? (What’s your love story?) Well, we met randomly one night in the spring of 2008 when I was piling into the car with my girlfriends leaving a bar. It was a quick, hello, my name is Sarah, my name is Ryan, nice to meet you, see you later. He later added me on Facebook (strange that I even remember that) and I did what any normal person does and creeped on him. He was in a relationship so I didn’t even think any further than that. Fast forward to November 2008 and I was out for my birthday (same bar) with some friends. I got asked to come over and sit with some other friends, so they could get me a birthday drink, and got asked for a birthday kiss. Ryan quickly swooped in, requested I come sit next to him, I did, we chit-chatted, sang karaoke, I drove him home, and the rest is history.

If married, how long have you been married? 2 years next month

If you are married, where did you get married? Big or small wedding? We got married in Havana at the Church of Christ and had a medium sized wedding of about 100-150 people

Do you have any nicknames that you call one another? We both call each other Bunney. Not sure where it developed, but we both call each other this about 20 times a day. People who are with us probably get tired of hearing it.

Name 3 things you love most about your honey. #1 His sense of humor. #2 His loyalty to me and Wyatt. #3 His body. Ha, okay that was funny, no? See #1 because I know he laughed about that one. #3 His big heart.

Tell us how he proposed. One night, while watching tv, sorting through old jewelry I told Ryan that when he decided to get my engagement ring that I would need a size 6.5. (For the record, we had already went and looked at rings so it’s not like I was dropping hints.) I went back to the bedroom and was putting up some clothes when Ryan came back there, asked me if he thought this would fit, dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. I, of course, said yes.

Is he a flower and teddy bear kind of guy, or strawberries, champagne and rose petals? Um, well he would be a flower person if I like the idea of wasting money on things that die, a teddy bear person if he knew I wouldn’t mind dust collectors, strawberries if they were in season, champagne if I preferred it over a beer, and rose petals if I was okay with the most clichéd flower out there. He is none of the above kind of guy. The kind of guy that knows that I like simple stuff and absolutely no romantic stuff.

Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or a pop a movie in and relax on the couch? Definitely a movie and couch type of girl.

Tell us one thing you’d like to do with your significant other one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere? I would probably be really cheesy, rent a RV, and go on a really long road cross country trip. We would wear our sunglasses, visors, fanny packs, tall socks, and khaki shorts.

Tell us what you plan on doing this Valentine’s Day. We are ordering pizza and eating sugar cookies, getting lovin’s from our baby, and then cuddling up to watch Teen Mom. Are you picking up on the romance that is our relationship?

I’m convinced of it at least.
