Oh. Wyatt.

OH is right!

There are times in life when things that are happening in real life, but yet you are only seeing it in slow motion. This happened to me and Ryan today. I know you are thinking, they must have witness a car wreck or something equally horrific. Well, no...kind of. We did witness something horrific...in public...and it was because of our precious son.

We've never let Wyatt be a crazy wild man in stores mostly because A. shopping is so much easier when he is contained in a stroller and B. I honestly can't stand those kids. However, today I had back up in the form of Ryan while we were out shopping so we decided to let him shop sans-stroller and boy was he loving life! We got our goods and headed to the check out line. I handled the checking out and Ryan was tending to Wyatt. I was mid-paying and all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye saw Wyatt sprinting towards the two ladies (one the mother and one a teenager girl) at the check out 2 registers over. Normally this wouldnt be a big deal. Yet, this time, Wyatt was running toward the teenager arm fully extended, hand in a I'm-ready-to-grab-something form. This is when sllloooowww moootttiioooon started occuring. I'm pretty sure I said "Wyatt!" to distract him, but there was no hope. My innocent little boy at only 15 months old successfully grabbed his first booty. We're talking handful. Of an older woman no less. Shockingly, I wasn't embarrassed. I mean, with kids it's just kind of a given that moments like this are going to happen. I am just so thankful it was the teenage girl and not the mother. That would have been way more awkward. We both immediately apologized and thank goodness she just laughed it off and said it was okay. All would have been well after that because I was wrapping up paying, but oh no. The weirdo worker who was helping me had to take it a step further and say, "Oh was she a bad girl? Did she need a spanking?" And yep, it was in an seductive way. I think it was that point that we all felt awkward and I grabbed my bag and we bolted. We may resort back to the stroller whilst shopping.

His buddy Scout

Wyatt loves Scout there is absolutely no doubt about it. When he gets tired he immediately gets Scout and carries him around. We can say, "Where's Scout?" and he will book it looking for him. Misty got it for him for Christmas and I honestly thought it would be just like any other stuffed animal at our house. I was wrong. Scout goes lots of places with us in the car. He has been drug across the yard a few times, but survived.

On my nightly last minute check and kiss, I walked in to Wyatt like this.
It seriously melted my heart to see him so sweetly curled up with Scout.

I am curious to see the next baby and what he becomes attached to. If it's Scout we are in trouble!!

Marley turns 4!

Every weekend Marley still continues to go to my parent's house to spend time with them. I don't know who loves it more...us, my parents, or Marley.

However, we got Marley Saturday afternoon so that he could spend his birthday with us. I can't believe he is 4 today!! We took a little Sunday drive and this is where Marley ended up.
He is a nuissance, I won't deny that, but Wyatt loves him and he was our first "baby." He got lots of outside play time which is adores and is now perfectly clean snoozing in his bed!

Happy birthday, Marley Phoenix!

15 months old

Your 15 month bday was actually a week ago, but today we had your shots so I saved it so I can have your stats.

-You are 27 lbs and 31.5 inches tall.
- You biggest obsession is the washing machine and dryer. You are such a big helper when it comes to laundry. We can ask you if you want to go do laundry and you will immediately go to the laundry room. You will put clothes in the washer and dryer as we hand them to you. You seriously cannot get enough of it and to be honest I think it wears us all out. You are equally obsessed with Mimi and Pawpaw's. You would be Nana's too, but hers are always behind closed doors.

-You are still such a good sleeper and such an easy going little guy. Thank you, thank you.

-You still aren't big on words, but you talk nonstop.

-This month we shared that you are going to be a big brother!

-You love being outside and I just wish that it was cooler so you could go play more often.

-You have started climbing on to things and it scared the crap out of me. You have successfully fallen off the couch twice.

-You are just so busy. You absolutely wear me out, but I truly wouldn't have it any other way!

-You got stinkin' shots today...

But, you also got your first sucker today and you forgot about the shots after about 3 seconds.
We hung out in the car to wait for any reaction and you were in baby heaven just chillin' with your sucker.
I think you were thanking Jesus here.

You were quite a sticky mess afterwards, but it was worth it!

Working hard or hardly working?

Today, Ryan returned from an overnight stay in Memphis. We missed him, but since he was "working" we couldn't rightly complain.

His "work" consisted of this:

He got to Memphis Motor Speedway to drive cars around the track this morning. I'm sure he was just hating life having to be away from family, driving fast cars, and getting to hang with 3 others from work. Wouldn't you? He had a blast and came back safe and sound.

Wyatt and I spent the night with Mimi and Pawpaw. I took him to school this morning and then napped all day. I'd say it was a good day for me too!

Fun with numbers- baby #2's debut!

We met our second little baby today!
Everything is going wonderfully! S/he is growing right on track measuring just 2 days ahead of what we were figuring. Due date is expected to be February 9!!

I have been kinda mum on the whole pregnancy posts because while I knew I was pregnant, I wanted to see the baby first. Now I can blow up my blog and do weekly bumpdates! Yay!

Until then, how about a little fun with numbers??

10- number of weeks I'm pregnant (officially tomorrow)
22- number of months between Wyatt and his sibling
7- number of weeks I started wearing my bella band (whhhaat??)
6- number of weeks I got out my Snoogle. Pregnancy pillows rock.
18- number of weeks I look pregnant
5- number of times I've thrown up this pregnancy
20- approximate number of days I've been sick. Kicked in at 6 weeks and hasn't stopped
2- number of months until we find out the gender
6- number of pounds I've gained already. (Whhaaat?) (For the record I weigh myself every morning and it says I've gain 4. I continue to go with that since the doctor and my scale were constistently 2 off last time)
9- number of pounds I expect this baby to be. However, a little 6 pounder sounds good even though I know I can push out an 8.13 bundle of love
4- number of bags of Baked Cheddar and Sour Cream Lays I've consumed. (See 4lb weight gain)
0- number of times I will eat Long John Silvers again
8- number of different foods I keep in my desk at work

That's all I can think of about now. I swear mommy brain + pregnancy brain is going to leave me virtually handicap...

4th of July

The 4th of July was last week, but because I am a complete lazy bum every evening I haven't gotten around to posting a few pictures from it. We started out by going to a parade in Belleville with Wyatt's Poppa. First though, we stopped at Mimi and Pawpaw's to drop some stuff off since we'd be eating lunch there.
In our reds, whites, and blues. I am so in love with Wyatt's shorts- they are America flags and cute cute!

We went to the parade that lasted maybe 15 minutes and then went to the little festival type thing they had afterwards. It go hot pretty quick so we didn't stay very long. Next year though I may be a little more tolerant now. I think I'm just cranky and the heat and I don't mix well right now.

We then headed to Mimi and Pawpaw's to eat lunch. After lunch we got to take a family nap. It was much needed, especially for this little lady. Once Wyatt woke up we hit the pool.

He just loves swimming at Mimi's house! I am hoping that he likes the beach next month!
We had a nice, relaxing 4th of July!

Saturday Laughs

1. Wyatt loves anything with buttons so every day he "asks" to have his radio turned on. It never fails, he lays down on his belly and starts pressing away. My favorite is when he starts kicking his feet up and down.

2. Whenever we are at my parent's Wyatt raids the pantry. Today he carried around some Cheerios eating the occasional one or two, but mostly just toting the box around. I started sweeping, with my back to him, and then I heard the splatter of Cheerios. It was a race between him and Wyatt of who could gobble them up the fastest. We now owe Mimi and Pawpaw a box of Honey Nut Cheerios.

3. Wyatt has a little girlfriend at school. He demands she sit next to him in the ByeBye Buggy pounding on the seat next to him.

4. On the girlfriend subject, Wyatt fell in love with a cute little blonde at a restaurant this week. Like, broke his neck to look at her whenever she walked past him. He is just driving the dagger through my heart.

5. Wyatt's starting to say "words" here and there. They crack us up because they are so random and not really the words, but we can definitely tell he is trying. My favorite was when he said "Bunnnney."

Linking up with Melissa today!

Bathroom break

The older Wyatt gets the more hysterical he becomes. I LOVE this age. He cracks me up  every minute it seems. The picture is bad, but I had to show him off tonight. Like his tucked in pjs? I swear having a kid is the most comical thing a person could experience.
When I was younger I can very clearly remember peaking under the door when my parents where trying to use the bathroom. I know now that they probably weren't really "using" the bathroom, but more or less escaping the craziness of having children. If you don't do this, I think you are missing out on just a couple of minutes of peacefulness. I also remember wiggling my fingers under the door thinking that certainly would get me in there with them. This evening after I had given Wyatt his bath I went to, legitimately, use the bathroom and heard a little bit of whining at the door. Nothing new. He always wants to accompany while I take care of business when Ryan's not home. This time though, I saw little stubby fingers sliding under the door and as soon as I opened I spotted a little boy laying on his belly, with his head held up, very happy to see me.He hopped right up and walked his happy self into the bathroom.  I about melted right then and there and how absolutely precious he was and how it's finally beginning. I am about to start witnessing all the crazy, ridiculous things I use to do to my parents. This should get interesting.
