40 weeks

How far along? 40 weeks, 1 day

Total weight gain: 26 lbs
Maternity clothes? Just the jeans on weekends... I feel very lucky that I got through an entire pregnancy with a 4 dresses, 3 tops, and 2 pair of jeans!

Sleep: These last few days I've discovered 4 pillows are the way to go. Two for my head and one for each side of me. Also, there is no need for covers...even with the AC on.
Best moment this week: Just knowing we are days away!

Movement: It is very minimal and I hate it.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: Mild contractions which I always call "cramps" and pressure.

Belly Button in or out? In! Yay for it never popping!
Cravings: Pop Ice popsicles

What I miss: Nobody caring how you feel on a daily basis.

Weekly Wisdom: Pregnancy will fly by and there is absolutely no way to prepare for actually bringing home  a baby...eeek!

Milestones: Not so much a milestone, but we get to meet our little guy in less than 48 hours!

39 weeks

How far along? 39 weeks

Total weight gain: 26 lbs

Maternity clothes? Just the jeans on weekends.

Sleep: Still sleeping good, but I feel so heavy when I get up for potty breaks.

Best moment this week: Learning I am already dilated to a 3!

Movement: Still doing the 10 movements in 4 hours...it makes me a little nervous the lack of movement that is going on.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: Mild contractions which I always call "cramps" and parting with the plug.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Cravings: Pop Ice popsicles

What I miss: Nobody caring how you feel on a daily basis.

Weekly Wisdom: People are always going to ask "how are you feeling?" Just smile and answer...don't look or act annoyed.

Milestones: Dilating on my own and knowing that we will have a little boy here with us in no more than 10 days!!!

38 weeks

Yes, I am extremely skanky in this picture. But! It was taken on one of the yucky rainy days we had lately, once I got home from work, and shows what I am hanging out in everyday that I get home from work...hubby's sleep pants and an oversize shirt. This is real life people. Deal with it!

How far along? 38 weeks, 4days (yes-very very late since my hubs was gone on our picture taking day and I just remembered last night to take it!)

Total weight gain: 25 lbs...I'm gaining weight now like it is going out of style. Can you see where my fear of a 10 lb baby is coming from?! I am lucky though because it is all belly!

Maternity clothes? Just my maternity jeans on weekends and the few dresses I bought...I am about to start living in one pair of gauchos because they are extremely comfortable!

Sleep: When I am asleep, I am sleeping like a champ. I am getting up every two hours now to potty and that's seriously not cool.

Best moment this week: It's hard to think back to last week and what the best moment was...every day is good because I know I am getting closer to the end.

Movement: We are definitely slowing down... He is suppose to move 10 times in 4 hours. That's what "healthy" babies do. So far, so good.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks and I are BFF. I have them all day and I have a lot of pressure down town and in my bottom. Back pain is also on the list. However, no need for excitement---homeboy will be (fashionably) late!

Belly Button in or out? It's actually getting deeper, which is fantastic. I love that it hasn't popped.

Cravings: Pop Ice popsicles and Goldfish crackers

What I miss: Being tan, being skinny, being able to sleep for more than 2 hours without getting up for a bathroom break, having more energy, working out, a cold beer, a run, no back pain, having my nails done (since prenatal vitamins make them grow like mad and to keep them pretty would put us in debt), my normal chest size, my ability to eat the way I use to and not feel miserable...the list really does go on. I mean seriously, when you are going on 10 months of a lifestyle change how can you not miss stuff? Don't get me wrong, Wyatt is completely worth every little thing that I have sacrificed, but I'm allowed to miss stuff.

Weekly Wisdom: You can get away with so much stuff being pregnant. It's almost comical. Don't feel like cooking supper for the hubs? Fine. Don't want to go somewhere, do something, see somebody. It's okay-you're pregnant. Don't want to get off the couch for hours? You go right ahead and rest. Don't want to give the pup a bath? Okay bunney, I'll do it for you...errrr, wait. We're still working on that one!

Milestones: Diaper bag is packed. At least he's ready...

I had a meeting with the nurse practitioner for my Group B strep on Friday...my stomach is measuring at 37 weeks which leads me to believe that our little guy is going to be coming closer to April 16th. Every u/s we had showed him measuring ahead, but a stomach doesn't lie right? Ehh...who knows. Either way, I know my window for the little guy is April 9-16. Or even sooner. Guess we will see. My only hope (today) is that he chooses his birthday.

37 weeks- Full term!

How far along? 37 weeks!! We now have a full term baby!!

Total weight gain: 22 lbs

Maternity clothes? Just wearing my maternity jeans on weekends.

Sleep: I am very thankful that I can sleep really well. The only complaint is how heavy my belly feels when I get up for potty breaks.

Best moment this week: Today, we finished up shopping for good.

Movement: He is slowing down on his movement. I know the poor guy is running out of room.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: I started having Braxton Hicks for sure this week. I woke up Tuesday morning with an uncomfortable feeling and some cramping. I am a-ok with this!

Belly Button in or out? We are almost flat. Almost.

Cravings: Yesterday, I had my first craving---sno cones. The terrible, terrible, dreadful part is that they haven't opened yet. Please, please, please open sooooooon. Luckily we drove through Conway and got me Smoothie King which made it a little better.

What I miss: My body pre-baby, being tan, sleeping on my belly, an occasional social drink with my girls, and cuddling time with the husband. I have loved being pregnant. I really have. I'm just so ready to have him here with us though.

Weekly Wisdom: Still no wisdom...

Milestones: Finishing up all the shopping for little Wyatt and finally feeling ready!

36 weeks

How far along? 36 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain: 22 lbs

Maternity clothes? Went shopping in Branson this week and got zero maternity clothes so I am definitely still feeling lucky that I'm in regular clothes. I only wear maternity jeans on weekends. I know, I go all out.

Sleep: I lurve my sleep and am thankful I can sleep well still.

Best moment this week: Finally seeing the floor in Wyatt's room. That and finding him some swimming shorts!! We will definitely be tearing up the pool at Mimi and Pawpaw's this summer!

Movement: Rockin' and rollin' all day it seems.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: No, but I sure wouldn't be opposed to receiving some. Ha!

Belly Button in or out? We are almost flat. Almost.

Cravings: No cravings I just enjoy food in general, but what else is new.

What I miss: Feeling small.

Weekly Wisdom: I have pregnancy brain...I can't be wise.

Milestones: Successfully getting stuff put up in his room and our room is now ready for him.

35 weeks

How far along? 35 weeks, 1 day

Total weight gain: 21 lbs

Maternity clothes? Minimal...Saturday morning I went on a massive shopping spree. I'm very lucky to fit into regular clothes that I can wear now and post-baby.

Sleep: Sleep + Sarah = BFF
Best moment this week: Ryan feeling some limb roll across my stomach. It weirded him out...I think he believes there is an alien rather than a 5lb baby inside me.
Movement: Wyatt is a busy bee from 8-10:30 and from about 9-10 at night. Other movement varies, but I can count on these times for movement.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: I had a little cramping last night, but nothing major.

Belly Button in or out? Still in but the top is flat. Yuck.

Cravings: None.

What I miss: Using the bathroom only a handful of times in one day. Now? Now I could probably set a world record of some sort.

Weekly Wisdom: Crying over anything is perfectly okay. You're hormonal and can't "help" it. So...your husband telling you that you have to get your dessert to go (and he is only joking) is grounds for crying, let the tears flow. This may be the only time it will be okay.

Milestones: Getting his room finished, his car seat and stroller courtesy of Mimi, and starting to wash everything.

34 weeks

How far along? 34 weeks

Total weight gain: We had a doctors appointment Thursday and I am up 21 pounds!

Maternity clothes? Still very minimal.

Sleep: I am sleeping like a champ during the night! I am napping for about 30-45 minutes when I get home from work as well.

Best moment this week: Hearing Wyatt's heartbeat, finally getting my canvas that I ordered almost a month ago in, finding a hamper and vase for his room. All we like is a lamp and it will be complete!

Movement: As much as it can hurt at times it's the most reassuring feeling that he's doing okay in there and still baking away. It's also pretty cool that he will start moving when Ryan and I are talking.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: Negative.

Belly Button in or out? Still in, but we are getting more and more shallow. Just hold out 6 more weeks, please?

Cravings: No cravings, but I love ice cream which I always have.

What I miss: Dressing "cute" and actually feeling that way.

Weekly Wisdom: Pregnancy can and will fly by so enjoy each moment.

Milestones: Being one step closer to getting his room finished.

Sunday, February 20, 2011

33 weeks

How far along? 33 weeks, 1 day

Total weight gain: 20 lbs

Maternity clothes? Still very minimal.

Sleep: I've abandoned my Snoogle temporarily since my belly hangs over it and it's slightly uncomfortable. I have one regular pillow on each side of me and sleep fantastically!

Best moment this week: Getting the hunting closet that remained in Wyatt's room completely cleaned out and filled with baby clothes and diapers.

Movement: Feeling him move is by far my favorite part of pregnancy. It's downright hilarious to me when he pops out on one side of my belly.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: Negative.

Belly Button in or out? Still in.

Cravings: No cravings, but when someone mentions something it almost always sounds good to me. Chubby bunney is me.

What I miss: Being tan, running, working out, not being so emotional over everything (this includes the little cats in PetSmart who are waiting for a wonderful home).

Weekly Wisdom: You're not getting fat, you're growing a baby.

Milestones: Going through all the wonderful baby gifts we received at our shower last Sunday!

32 weeks

How far along? 32 weeks

Total weight gain: 20 lbs

Maternity clothes? Got two new pieces to add to my growing collection.

Sleep: I need more sleep each and every day...I think this is preparation for all those sleepless nights that are likely in my future.

Best moment this week: Little boy getting the hiccups! Sooo adorable.

Movement: No one really informed me of how painful this little booger could be.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: Negative.

Belly Button in or out? Still in.

Cravings: No real cravings, but I do eat peanut butter almost daily and as well as Edy's Slow Churned Ice Cream every night.

What I miss: Not to sound "alcoholic-y" or anything, but a nice Diet Coke and Captain Morgan would be nice...along with a night of dancing, live music, girlfriends, and the hubs.

Weekly Wisdom: I really have no wisdom this week...I could tell you a lot of not so wise things that I did do this week...one being walking into the men's bathroom at Whattaburger. Thankfully there were zero men in there. Sigh.of.relief. Not quite sure how I managed that since I clearly knew where the women's bathroom is.

Milestones: Feeling Wyatt's hiccups and getting baby gifts from Ryan's Aunt. Having baby stuff other than clothes is sooo much fun. I love the little diapers so much. Ask me how much I like them about 3 months from now.

Saturday, February 5, 2011

31 weeks

How far along? 31 weeks

Total weight gain: As of our doctor's appointment Thursday 19 lbs.

Maternity clothes? Haven't added any clothes to my "maternity wardrobe" but will definitely be doing a little shopping very soon since my shirts are getting short and I feel like Gus from Cinderella...

Sleep: I feel like it's my first trimester again and I could sleep for days.

Best moment this week: Getting his newborn hat and burp cloths in. I'm a sucker fora all things monogrammed.

Movement: Ryan hears me say ouch a lot...

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: As Ryan likes to joke---who is this Braxton Hicks and why do you keep talking about him. I'm not 100% sure if I am experiencing these and I'm probably not because I think I will know. But, whatever is going on inside my utersus hurts. End of story.

Belly Button in or out? I will be fine having a smooth belly button...popping out is just not an option though.

Cravings: None.

What I miss: Being tan...I really need to look into getting a spray tan and if it's "okay."

Weekly Wisdom: Wear what you want...for example, if wearing a long sleeve dress with no leggings and flats is what feels good to you (even if it is during the snow) then wear it. Moms will understand...everyone else will think you're crazy.

Milestones: No real milestones this week unless getting into the SINGLE digits count and to this little momma it sure enough does!

30 weeks

How far along? 30 weeks, 1 day

Total weight gain: 17 pounds

Maternity clothes? I own seven pieces of maternity clothes...this week I wore one top, a dress, and my pants when we went hunting. This is progress.

Sleep:I need lots more sleep as the days go by.
Best moment this week: Actually feeling "pretty" this week.
Movement: Rolling around under the ribcage is pretty painful.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: Nothing this week!

Belly Button in or out? In still.
Cravings: No "cravings" but pancakes always seem appealing to me.

What I miss: Hard core workouts, sleeping on the tummy, bending over completely.

Weekly Wisdom: Don't have a pity-party for yourself when you don't get to go out with friends because going out at 9 is considered "late" for you...Girls' nights will always be there...a baby growing in your belly requiring plenty of rest will not.

Milestones: Hitting 30 weeks! I'm almost to the single digits in the countdown!

29 weeks

How far along? 29 weeks, 1 day

Total weight gain: 17 pounds...I'm gaining weight like it's going out of style. Yes, I realize this.

Maternity clothes? Oh the dreaded "mom jeans" as I have dubbed them. Well, my ever growing belly decided to try them out on Saturday evening for a test drive. The verdict? We enjoyed them. Why? Believe it or not there is room in them. They are more baggy than I would really like, but they fit me well enough. I guess they will be my "let me be a little slouchy while we are visiting parents and in-laws" until I begin to fill them out a little better. And, this week I might even try wearing my maternity dress. Woo...

Sleep: It's becoming a hit or miss. Some nights are better than others, but luckily there are more good nights than bad nights. Everyone should have a Snoogle though.
Best moment this week: Getting to see our little boy in our 4D ultrasound--- he is quite the handsome little boy!
Movement: It hurts. Really I didn't realize just how much it could hurt but my son is strong.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: All of my "literature" tells me of this thing called Braxton Hicks (Yes, I was already aware of it, but I have a flair for the dramatic...) Fear is quite possibly setting in and I swear something of the sort was happening Saturday morning as we were getting ready to go eat breakfast. Ask the hubs about it and I can guarantee you he will mock me in the most pitiful voice and simply say, "my uuuutterussss..."

Belly Button in or out? This whole gaining weight like a maniac is making my belly button not near as cute as it use to be. Bummer.

Cravings: No cravings still.

What I miss: Sleeping on my tummy more and more, clothes fitting comfortably, a cute belly button. haha

Weekly Wisdom: Don't be afraid to try out the mom-jeans. You may be surprised.

Milestones: Just seeing our little man!
Weekend re-cap:
Nothing too exciting happened this weekend...Saturday we went to breakfast and then headed to pick up feed for my dad. Ryan was in charge of removing the ton of feed with a tractor from the back of the truck. I knew it would be comical to me and of course it was. I think he felt manly though in a tractor and all. Either way it was funny and I snapped a quick picture. I just love him and how silly he can be.

Today we went to visit family in Yell county. We finally got to meet baby Lawson who is sooo adorable and has the most beautiful hair ever! All babies should be jealous! Holding him made me want Wyatt here that much more. However, I know he needs to bake just a tad bit longer!

28 weeks and a stomach bug

Check out what happens in just 7 days when you've got a bun in the oven baking to perfection.
At this rate, I am a little nervous to see me in 12 weeks having not change a single thing in my eating patterns or exercise routine!

How far along? 28 weeks, 2 days (My "picture" day is every Saturday since that's when I actually inch closer to 40!)

Total weight gain: 15 pounds (As of today you can subtract one. Stupid stomach bug.)

Maternity clothes? Haven't wore any, but I did buy 2 dresses that were both small and non-maternity looking. Maybe I could just shop in the mat section if I'm going to be wearing a small and my boobs actually fit in it! JK...I also bought 2 pairs of pants this past weekend as well. I tried them on first and was pleasantly surprised. I'm not too sure what it is, but the whole "maternity jeans" look always seemed so...mom-ish. Ridiculous I know, but the thought of that big band sewn into pants kind of weirded me out. However, they are glorious...with room (and a still disgusting panel) but I think they will work. I think I'll wait until the 7 month mark to start wearing them...or later. Ha!

Sleep: I'm beginning to require a little bit more sleep, but it's getting a bit more uncomfortable. My Snoogle is still one of the best gifts my husband has ever given me.

Best moment this week: Let's see we had a lot: Registering for our baby shower, getting our crib mattress in, ordering a canvas for his room, finally feeling like his nursery is almost complete.

Movement: He moves a ton and they are so strong.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: No and don't want them until April.

Belly Button in or out? In, but getting a bit more shallow. Gag.

Cravings: No cravings still.

What I miss: Eating a normal sized meal. There is just no room it seems. Boo.

Weekly Wisdom: Reading sad and depressing stories when you are pregnant about pregnant people is not the way to go. However, they make you truly appreciative of the little human growing inside of you. I know that God has a plan for me and my family and I pray daily that it's for little Wyatt to join our family and live a long, beautiful life. I am just beyond thankful that he has trusted us this far with his life.

Milestones: Registering for the baby shower

So a stomach bug entered our house, defeated not only my husband, but me and my unborn child as well. It was Miserable. Yes, with a capital M. That was in fact my first stomach bug ever and I really thought I was coming out ahead because it was going on almost 3 days of me not catching it from the hubs. Well, yesterday morning was another story. Ryan still felt a little blah, so we slept in, and missed church. There was a reason for this because right at 10:30, when we would have been 1/2 way through church, it hit me. Defeat. I was optimistic that it wasn't as serious as Ryan's since there was no fever and no throwing up. Wrong...as the day progressed it only got worse. The terrible part was feeling like a bad mommy. I knew I couldn't keep anything in me, but I wanted to "feed" my baby so terribly bad. Wyatt did make me feel better since he was moving all around letting me know he was doing okay. I had a love/hate with all his movement while being sick though...it was something comparative to motion sickness. While I adored knowing he was doing okay it still made for a long day. Today, we are feeling a hundred times better. I am once again very, very thankful for my husband who really stepped up and took care of me. Even after I threw up, which he luckily missed while making a run to the store for me, he proceeded to call a friend whose mom is a nurse practitioner to make sure I didn't need to go to the hospital! That and the fact that he was literally cramming drinks down me. He loves me and I am so thankful for him!

27 weeks

How far along? 27 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain: 14 pounds

Maternity clothes? No

Sleep: I'm beginning to require a little bit more sleep.

Best moment this week: Having heartburn...while I totally hated it, it made me feel really pregnant. And, our little boy may have some hair!

Movement: Moves a lot and this week I finally got a massive jab to the rib.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: No and don't want them until April.

Belly Button in or out? In, but getting a bit more shallow. Gag.

Cravings: No cravings...as in we must drop everything and rush to get whatever it may be. My son is pretty low key it seems.

What I miss: A hardcore workout. Walking 3 miles a day is sufficient, but I want to sweat my butt off and feel real accomplishment.

Weekly Wisdom: Embrace all the discomforts of pregnancy...not sleeping on your tummy, heartburn, weight gain, etc. because it will all be over way to quickly.

Milestones: Having my bff start planning my baby shower in a few weeks!

Wyatt's first hunting trip

To kick off yet another new year, I accompanied my husband on a duck hunting trip. I did the exact same thing last year except it was a day later. We may be on to something...maybe in a few years it will be the three of us! This adventure, however, was a success. 3 geese and 4 ducks. Crap. I'm a much bigger fan of hunting trips in which no animals are harmed, but I guess whenever you go on a hunting trip you should just expect it. Our friends, Josh and Irene, came with us on this trip...she is also pregnant at 33 weeks. I loved being around someone who is also pregnant. It was so much fun sharing stories, laughing at our guys, and nearly peeing our pants. (Thank you kiddos.) It was Wyatt's first hunting trip...in the womb. There will be many, many more in his future with his daddy and grandpas. We all joked that little Mia and little Wyatt are forever bonded together now...we highly doubt that there are a lot of babies that go on duck hunting trips together while still in the womb! Here are some pictures from the first day of 2011:

Josh and Irene

Poor babies...

Me and Bunney
Josh and Ryan

Me and Irene at 26 and 33 weeks

We also went to Hollow Bend to watch the ducks come in...I loved it! I loved hearing all the quacking and honking. We will definitely do this again!

I love doing this type of stuff with Bunney...it always makes for a good time. See 2011 has already started off wonderfully... and here is my 26 week post! I can't believe I am almost into my 3rd trimester!

How far along? 26 weeks

Total weight gain: 12 pounds

Maternity clothes? No

Sleep: I sleep pretty soundly.

Best moment this week: Having all Wyatt's furniture come and set up!

Movement: He is definitely getting stronger by the day.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: No and don't want them until April.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Cravings: Still none.

What I miss: Sleeping on my tummy.

Weekly Wisdom: Don't have any this week...lame-o I know,

Milestones: Getting nursery furniture set up...it's becoming more and more real.

24 Weeks, 2 Days

How far along? 24 weeks, 2 days (EWWW on the picture this week. Dear future Sarah, do not take early morning pictures when you are slightly puffy from sleeping. Any, if next week you still look slightly puffy and it's not an early morning picture it's simply because you are pregnant and growing...HA!)

Total weight gain: 11 pounds

Maternity clothes? Negative

Sleep: I sleep pretty soundly.

Best moment this week: Having my tummy transform into a wave pool when Wyatt starts moving.

Movement: He moves all the time now. Daddy actually gets to see him creating little waves all over the place. My mom, Ryan's mom, and Auntie Kylie have all felt him move.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: No and don't want them until April.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Cravings: Still none.

What I miss: Sleeping on my tummy.

Weekly Wisdom: Just a sip of Red Bull is not a good idea...

Milestones: We finally painted Wyatt's room and ordered his crib today. We are making progress...

And the award for dumbest mommy-to-be goes to...(drumroll)...this girl! For my acceptance speech I would like to apologize to my son, Wyatt and his dad, Ryan. To Wyatt, I just want you to know that I really enjoy Red Bull. I have for a while now and it's a treat when I get it. I used to have it stocked in my fridge during my last semester of college, but I quickly grew out of it. On occasion I would buy one at a gas station and when I went to a bar I would have a shot or two (or three or four...) with a little Jager it in, but nothing too terrible. I honestly like the taste. Sigh...which brings me to today when Daddy happened to have on in the fridge (saved from a early morning of hunting). I begged him to let me have it as soon as I discovered it was in there, but like a responsible person he refused...until today. When he was leaving to go back to work he took it with him and I begged and pleaded for him to open it right then and give me a sip. A sip- that's all. I figured it couldn't hurt considering there are women who drink a lot, lot worse. (By this I mean non-alcoholic beverages and more specifically a Mt. Dew or something similar...something just all around bad.) Well he caved, opened it, and let me have a sip. Literally it was less than a 1/2 ounce because he was pulling it away before I even got my lips on it. The taste was magnificent and just as spectacular as I remembered. That was all I needed was that little bit. So, to Ryan, sorry I am completely irresistible..er, persistent...and always get what I (think) I want and need. When I got back to work I literally felt like a horrible mommy. My child wasn't moving any and he normally does in the afternoon. (To make me feel better, I've about got Wyatt's sleep schedule down...I'm moving up on my negative mommy points.) I felt guilt...I've poisoned my child I had decided. About an hour after the Red Bull "accident" Wyatt came down from his "cocaine" high (or paralysis...whatever you prefer) and was moving about as normal. I apologized and promised never again. . .

We did get Wyatt's room painted this past weekend and I am getting more and more excited about getting it ready. We are ordering the crib tonight and I guarantee it's going to be a we got this, and this, and this in the next few weeks. Reality it really setting in that we have a little boy on the way. But check it--- Wyatt's mobile is waiting for him...

Yes...those are in fact duck decoys and yes, I am in fact joking...

22...23 Weeks

It's true... I am skipping week 22. Why? I have been counting the weeks of my pregnancy by my original due date of April 16. However, my due date is April 9th so I feel it's best to be accurate with my progress (and who doesn't like a closer due date?). So here is my week 23 post!

How far along? 23 weeks

Total weight gain: 10 on my scale...Friday we will find out on the Dr's...

Maternity clothes? Nope!

Sleep: I sleep pretty soundly.

Best moment this week: Seeing my stomach pop out when Wyatt moved.

Movement: He's quite the active little boy and I love it.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: No. No. and No.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Cravings: Nada.

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly.

Weekly Wisdom: Knowing that on those "yucky" days it's all worth it in the end.

Milestones: The lady at Red Lobster is the first stranger to congratulate me on being pregnant. This only means one thing: I'm no longer in the "Is she or isn't she pregnant?" category!

Toda I bought Wyatt his first book!

Ryan and I read it to him tonight once we got back from eating an early Christmas dinner in Little Rock with his aunt and cousins. We had a great time getting to visit with them! I plan to get some of my books from my parent's and begin reading to Wyatt daily. I only hope he will be a little reader like his mommmy!

21 weeks

How far along? 21 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain: 9

Maternity clothes? Nope!

Sleep: I thoroughly enjoy my sleep.

Best moment this week: Feeling Wyatt so often.

Movement: I've got a mover and a shaker.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: No. No. and No.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Cravings: Zip.

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly.

Weekly Wisdom: Also known as what I learned...just because you go a day without feeling the baby is no reason to panic...he's just tired and sleeping. At least that is what my husband told me. Sure enough, after almost 2 days of no movement he was rockin' and rollin' again.

Milestones: Buying lots of baby clothes in Branson!
Ryan and I went to Branson this weekend. Our mission? Finish up our Christmas shopping. Mission complete? Almost. We just have three more presents to purchase so I'd say we are doing pretty good. We did, however, buy lots and lots of cute clothes for our little boy. I'm pretty excited about them. I just picture playing dress up with him and planning "family outfits" for the 3 of us. Completely corny I know, but someone has to do it and Ryan and I do pretty well being all matchy-matchy. Add little Wyatt to the mix and you'll be super jealous. Ha!
I've been told that when you have a baby it no longer is all about you. Not all about Sarah? What?? I've been told on numerous occasions that I'm self-centered and want every and all the attention to be focused on me. Is this true? Yes and no. Yes, around my family and with my husband because I can get away with it and they adore me...and yes, the feeling is mutual. I adore them as much as they adore me. No, when I am around friends and other people. I'm okay with sharing the attention. I mean, seriously, with my best friends we do a dang good job of sharing the spotlight. Anyway, this weekend is the first shopping adventure that momma didn't get a single thing. Nada. Whattt??? Even daddy got stuff!! What is amusing is that I wasn't the least bit phased about it. Every store we went into I would nonchalantly look at stuff for me but my main focus was looking at and buying stuff for Wyatt. I absolutely adore it. I will love being a mommy I have no doubt in my mind. I will love putting another person ahead of my needs. Ryan and Wyatt are my boys. I love saying that and will always take the opportunity to let it roll out of my mouth. It just feels natural.
This is what Daddy picked out for Wyatt...

It's going to be so true. My husband is a charmer (well, used to be...he lost that about 2 years ago!). My son is going to be that boy. The one that steals everyone's little hearts. We love joking about all the "stuff" Wyatt is going to get into, be like, act like, etc. We are so ready to meet this little boy! The one that is currently letting me know he appreciated me talking about him all the time by kicking me constantly.

Weekly Wisdom: Consistency is best...meaning for me, don't participate in work birthday parties where tons of different food is available. Even if you eat in a tiny amounts. Stick to what you know.

Milestones: Finding out we will be having a son!

Today is November 19th, 2010. I turned 25 years old this morning. I am 19 weeks pregnant. I find out I am going to be a mommy to a little boy this afternoon. This evening I shared with my family and 4 best friends. It has been a wonderful day!

Ryan and I knew we had a big day ahead of us. We would be finding out if we were having a little boy or girl come April. We just knew it was going to a little girl. Would have basically bet money on it- that's how convinced we were. We know the girl who does the ultrasounds and she is awesome! We really like Elizabeth (and wish her well on her upcoming wedding and marriage!). She makes us feel very comfortable and we just knew she was going to tell us girl. I had already prepared myself for the news. Not that I was going to be upset it wasn't a boy, more of a "bummer" which would last all of 2 seconds. Everyone says, "As long as it's healthy..." blah, blah, blah. Well of course...who hopes for anything but healthy babies?! I just had a preference of what I wanted our first born to be and I was free to express it. (Side note: I hate to be wrong, but this was the one time I was actually going to be okay with it!!) As soon as that precious baby popped up on the screen I fell in love all over again. But then! Then she told us that it was a BOY! I immediately looked at Ryan and a few OMGs were shared and we actually high fived (which is really no surprise if you know us). Yes, we are corny and even took it to the next level. We are "air high-fivers." Meaning we never touch when we give high-fives. But today...today was special. So special in fact that we touched during our high five. It was the overwhelming excitement. It was out of our control, but it's just what we do.

I never thought my first born would be a little boy...exactly what I wanted. We joked waiting for our doctor to come in about it. Ryan said that God isn't really helping his plan of getting me off that track. (The one that leads right to Sarahgetswhatshewantsalllthetimeville.) What can I say? I have been blessed beyond any measure. I will never take my life and the things placed in it for granted.

Other good news? My due date even got moved up!! We initally started at April 16, then April 11 with the first u/s, and now we are looking at April 9!! Our doctor told me depending on how naturally I wanted this pregnancy to be (very) we would see how I progress but he wouldn't let me go past April 18. I told Ryan Monday night at dinner than my guess for Wyatt's arrival would be April 8. Maybe I will be right!

I love, love, love calling our precious little boy by his name. Wyatt. *Sigh* I could sit there and say his name over and over. I feel like he has a real identity now. Wyatt is going to be everything that we have dreamed, hoped, and prayed for. I look forward to raising this perfect little boy. The little boy that we are convinced is going to have fire red hair, a knock out smile, and a personality that no one can come close to touching. I pray that he has his mommy's indepence, determination, self-control, no-bs attitude and his daddy's loving demeanor, carefree spirit, level-headedness and both of our love for water and the outdoors. If we don't have an outdoorsy water baby, I'm not sure what we will do. Let's just say next summer we will be spending a lot of time at my parent's in their pool getting him well acquainted!

I thank God each and everyday about this precious gift he is giving us. Wyatt will experience an immense amount of love from all the wonderful people in his life. I cannot wait!

Dear Wyatt,

You are no longer the mystery baby we have been so curious about. You are not only our first born, but our son. Your mommy and daddy know just how lucky we truly are to have you entering our lives in just a few short months. We hope to give you everything that you need and most of what you want. We will try our very best to not have a spoiled rotten boy, but if it does happen, we can just blame the grandparents! I look forward to meeting you more and more each day. We love you more today than we did yesterday, but less than we will tomorrow.

Love,

Mommy and Daddy
Our precious baby, Wyatt Hudson:
