1. I gave Wyatt a cookie and he dropped some big crumbs on the floor he said uh-oh, went to get the broom and then started sweeping them up. I helped with the dust pan, but I am going to have such a big helper when Claire arrives!
2. We were at some friend's house when they were showing Wyatt the "puppies." They told the dogs to sit and lay down as Wyatt proceeded to follow the commands as well. It was too funny seeing him lay down next a big German Shepherd.
3. If you ask Wyatt if he has stinky in his pants and you go to check and he doesn't he loudly exclaims nope!
4. He woke up sick Wednesday morning and was pitiful. By Thursday morning he still was sick and Ryan and I went to check on him. I left the room to go get something for Wyatt and in the most pitiful crying voice he said mommm meeee! Yah, I love having a momma's boy!
5. I love the new words Wyatt tries to say and that you never know what word he will try to repeat. This week my favorite word he tried was "supper." I think Mimi ate it up too when we had "supper" with them and he shared his latest word.

Saturday Laughs
1. Wyatt's latest thing is to remove his shoes while in the car. He gets ticked when he can't get his shoes off. This day, he managed to get the shoe and sock off. He then proceeded to suck on his toe.
2. He stole sissy's baby. We were leaving and I asked him which baby he wanted to take. Scout goes on just about every car ride, but he refused to give up both of them.
3. I mentioned Scout went on almost all road trips. He doesn't always ride the correct way, but nonetheless he rides.
4. It was quiet in the house and so I went to check on Wyatt. I found him with his toy box empty. At least I lucked out and he picked them all up...and then did it again with me sitting there.
5. The washer and dryer beep when the cycle is over. The oven beeps when it's preheated. Wyatt knows the difference too. When the washer or dryer goes of he immediately says "Uh-oh!" and runs to the laundry room. When it's the oven he immediately exclaims "Cookie!"

Saturday Laughs
1. Wyatt had about 5 Goldfish in front of him and I took one. As soon as he saw me eat that one he scoops up all the rest and shoves them in his mouth. We need to work on sharing.
2. I packed Wyatt a bag for him to stay the night with Mimi. I'm 100% positive he was tired of me this day because he grabbed his bag, Scout, and his paci and booked it to the door.
3. I was using the bathroom and heard Wyatt say uh-oh. I knew he had spilled a glass of water since the front of his shirt was wet. I asked him to show me where his uh-oh was and he headed down the hall and stopped right in front of his mess.
4. Wyatt is now noticing when he has a stinky. I went into his room one morning as he was waking up and I flipped on the switch. Normally I am greeted with a "Hi!" or jibber jabber but this morning he goes "ew" and grabbed his bottom.
5. He loves to fake laugh. When we laugh about something he will perk up do a big fake belly laugh, which naturally makes us laugh more.

Saturday Laughs
1. Wyatt has learned "ew." I was picking out a Scentsy and would ask him what he thought. It went like this: what do you think about this one Wyatt? Opening it up and placing under his nose-big sniff from him-stink face-followed by "ew." clearly we have different tastes of what smells good.
2. My son likes to find my underwear and turn them into a necklace. This is normal, right? I'm ashamed they aren't usually clean undies unless we are doing laundry.
3. We have arrived as parents letting our kid ride the horse outside of Wal Mart.
4. Wyatt's discovered the art of dropping toilet paper in the toilet. It's only a matter of time before our toilet is clogged for the first time thanks to him.
5. I was pulling Wyatt around in his wagon and he had his golf clubs in there with him. All of a sudden I hear a very concerned "oh no, oh no, oh. I turned around and noticed we had lost a club and Wyatt was about to abandon ship to go retrieve it.

Saturday Laughs
1. Wyatt loves anything with buttons so every day he "asks" to have his radio turned on. It never fails, he lays down on his belly and starts pressing away. My favorite is when he starts kicking his feet up and down.
2. Whenever we are at my parent's Wyatt raids the pantry. Today he carried around some Cheerios eating the occasional one or two, but mostly just toting the box around. I started sweeping, with my back to him, and then I heard the splatter of Cheerios. It was a race between him and Wyatt of who could gobble them up the fastest. We now owe Mimi and Pawpaw a box of Honey Nut Cheerios.
3. Wyatt has a little girlfriend at school. He demands she sit next to him in the ByeBye Buggy pounding on the seat next to him.
4. On the girlfriend subject, Wyatt fell in love with a cute little blonde at a restaurant this week. Like, broke his neck to look at her whenever she walked past him. He is just driving the dagger through my heart.
5. Wyatt's starting to say "words" here and there. They crack us up because they are so random and not really the words, but we can definitely tell he is trying. My favorite was when he said "Bunnnney."

Saturday Laughs
Discovery is a big deal when it comes to children. Wyatt seems to discover new things each and everyday. Some days it's how to roll over, some days it's how to start using those vocal cords, other days (like earlier this week) he discovers what his "business" is.
Don't get me wrong, I knew it was coming. I mean as the mother of a boy, "boy" things were in my future. The day when toots become farts, when a burp become a belch, and when his pee pee was of major fascination.
Early in the week, Wyatt discovered what we have appropriately dubbed his "business." This business he immediately checks out as soon as that diaper comes off and the business that he refuses to leave alone during bath time.
I was laughing hysterically at him during the first bath with his new found glory and had Ryan come in and see just how he had corrupted our child. When Ryan peeked over and asked Wyatt what he was doing, Wyatt looked up with the cheesiest, closed mouth grin we had ever witnessed. It was like what he knew.
I know there are many funny adventures ahead of us. I guess I have my work cut out for me. There is going to be a day when Ryan and Wyatt are sitting in the respective chairs in the living room, just chillin' with a hand comfortably placed in their pants. That is my future, people...jealous?

Saturday Laughs
Fact #1
This little guy spends just about every Friday-Sunday night with my parents.
Fact #2
We are very easily amused.
Fact #3
It takes a lot for me to get embarrassed.
Last night, like most Friday nights, Marley was to go spend the night with my parents. Mom called and told me they were going to come pick him up sometime that evening. We went on about our business and just waited until they arrived...they obviously were going to be our only visitors on a Friday evening. Then, we heard a knock at the door. Marley went nuts and was barking up a storm. We knew it was mom and dad so we humored Marley saying "get em" or "who is that?" Then he was cracking me up because he was barking while standing on two legs and I'd never seen him do that so I kept on laughing and telling him to get whoever was out there. This is all while still telling my parents "come in!" They knocked again and Marley continued being his cute self and I kept saying come in as well as who is that? This went on for seriously 3-4 minutes which is a long time when you are waiting for someone to open a door. Well finally, they knocked again and I finally got off the couch to open the door and make them come in when at the exact same time our door opened and an unfamiliar voice said," okay, but it's not who you think it is..."
No...it definitely was not. Instead it was our UPS man who was probably so embarrassed that he heard us telling our obnoxious dog to get him as well as to come on in!
I think I instantly went red. Thankfully, Ryan knew the guy so it wasn't as terrible. It could have been a lot, lot worse.
After it was all said and done my parents did show up not 2 minutes later and found the story down right hilarious. Naturally.
After I had somewhat of a stranger in my house I was a little embarrassed at how trashed my house looked. Seriously... with an 8 month old it's hard to keep the house picked up. When I know that people are coming over I do what most people do and pick up the places I know they will be. This time I was blindsided and I'm sure our UPS man now thinks we are slobs. UGH.
Oh well...all in all it made for a pretty funny story. Maybe only to us. Ha!

Saturday Laughs
Play dates. They're all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
Little Mia came over to see Wyatt Thursday evening. I should go ahead and mention that Wyatt was having a less then stellar day. It started by him missing a nap and just being a grump thanks to the evil that is his first tooth. They came over in the evening which if you know Wyatt isn't his best time of the day. Want to see a super sweet, lovable, laughing, scrumptious little boy come see us between the hours of 8am-1pm. After that we are still all those things but just on a lower level. From about 7 on nothing is on our (Wyatt's) mind besides the 3 Bs- Bath, Bottle, Bed. So here we are...grumpy and evening time. Poor Wyatt. This was kind of a recipe for disaster. At least Ryan had warned Josh before coming over. Nonetheless, the babies played and did really well...We even got a cute picture of them...
But then, things went downhill and quick for Wyatt.
The poor little guy was tumbling left and right! I swear it's like he totally forgot to sit up on his own. I like to think it's because he was all kind of nervous being around a pretty girl like Mia. He hit his head I think a total of 3 times in probably a matter of 20 minutes. Homeboy was out of control. I think not only was he nervous, he was frustrated because Mia was a quick little booger and a walker. Wyatt is now pulling up onto things, and I guess he wanted to show Mia his adventurous side and show her all his cool tricks, but wouldn't you know it she had other things on her mind (read: someone else's toys). Needless to say it was such a flop and we were left with no phone number from Mia, but just a measly ole bumpy head.
I can't help but laugh at the clumsiness of our child. He gets that from his mother I believe. The being nervous around cute little girls? Must be from his daddy. To this day he still gets all types of flustered around me!
Yah...who am I kidding?!

Saturday Laughs
1. Mouth breathers...You know you know who they are. The people who constantly breathe through their mouth and, if like me, they annoy the crap out of you. Well folks...my child is a bona-fide mouth breather. All day, every day it seems. I've learned to deal with it and cannot help but laugh when I hear him breathing through that precious little mouth. I just hope for future girlfriends' sake that he grows out of it. Or, sadly, he will have a crusty mouth and that is disgusting.
2. I like your baby. That's what a little girl did after she tapped my arm twice while I was standing in a line at Walmart. It technically wasn't my baby that made me laugh but it did however make me think of when Wyatt starts talking and all the hilarious things he says. I will, at the point, be very thankful I have a blog!
3. Wyatt spits out his paci within minutes of falling asleep or we sneak in there and pull the plug. We normally just set it next to him. This morning he was waking up and so got up to go get him up for the day and I found the plug in upside down. It was so cute I couldn't help but be amused at the little guy.
4. We (I) had my first spill EVER in my life in a restaurant. On any other occasion I probably would have been mortified spilling an entire glass of water in a full restaurant...but now...because Wyatt's sweet little hand was the reason my cup went flying over the edge I just laughed. Didn't even get the burning sensation of embarrassment. Nope. I've embraced motherhood completely. It's only going to get worse over the years. I can't wait for the first trantrum in a department store.
5. We've got an army crawler. Correction...we have a wounded army crawler. Either way it's cute. What makes it hilarious is that my dear little boy had the crawling toots. Lift, pull, toot. Lift, pull, toot. That my friends is funny either way you look at it.

Saturday Laughs
1. It happened...that moment I was unsure of what to do...how to do it...why I was taking so long to do it. My precious little Wyatt pooped. Normal, right? Yes. But in his high chair...after some fruit, yogurt, and milk...while dressed in a white onesie...while I was folding laundry...and I was in actual normal cute clothes for once. It was a disaster. I picked him up after I caught a smell of it it and for some strange reason I knew not to hold him on my hip. Instead I carried him out in front of me making him laugh all the way to the changing table. I laid him down and caught the first glimpse of what I dreaded...the blowout. Poop was everywhere. I didn't know where to begin really. I started taking the onesie off and quickly realized it was all up his back.I think I panicked for a second wishing that Ryan was home because the only other time this has happened was when he found the surprise and we tag teamed it. Today was different...I had to make the decision of what to do and it became very clear to me after I kept getting more poop on him once it got all over the changing table cover. Off to the bathroom we went with our diaper still on...(clearly I wasn't thinking because normally I would have proceeded to remove diaper and clean up as best I could). I got him to the bathroom (and this is where I hang my head in shame) ripped off the diaper and set my naked baby with poop on him into the bath and started the water. Do you know what happened when you put an unwiped booty in the tub? Poop goes EVERYWHERE. Luckily, I had enough sense to not plug the water. After I was in the midst of letting the poop float around in the tub I realized I was wearing a cute shirt that I planned to continue to wear the rest of the day., Of course I didn't want poop on it so I immediately took it off and threw it on the counter and continued washing Wyatt until he was glistening and smelling like pure deliciousness (you know there is nothing better than a fresh, clean, baby). So, it turns out I gave my little baby a bath in just a bra. I am so weird and should be ashamed. But once it was all said and done (and I was fully clothed) I couldn't help but laugh and the ridiculousness of what just took place. This is motherhood...and I can't get enough.
2. Babies take tumbles. Ask Ryan. Wyatt sits up good but sometimes he falls over. The key to no tears is having him sit in the center where if he does fall he is completely padded...not on the outskirts where padding is almost non-existent. Ridge, Erin, and Haley were over on Thursday and Erin was sitting on the blankets with the boys and all of a sudden I heard it. THE thump. The unmistakable thump that signifies your baby has just fallen over on the outskirts. The thump was immediately followed by "I didn't do it!!!" from Ridge. At least he was honest. I know Erin felt horrible, but what Ridge said was down right hilarious. I quickly picked up Wyatt, let him cry, and soon all was well in the world again.
3. My kid wears a size 4W. That is a size 4 WIDE. We went shoe shopping yesterday. By the time he is 2 we will be shopping in the Big and Tall department.
4. Wyatt has started sticking out his tounge and blowing spit bubbles. It's really cute actually. What makes it funny is when he does it while eating mixed fruit and food goes flying everywhere. He's just so proud you can't help but laugh.
5. Is it mean to purposely make your kid cry for you? Okay, good. I thought I was alone. Wyatt has started crying when I leave the room. We learned this when I left to go wash dishes and Ryan couldn't get him to stop. As soon as I reappeared he stopped. It happened again that night when we were getting him ready for bed. That's when I decided to make my kid cry intentionally and we kept seeing if that's really why he was crying and it was! We got a good laugh out of it and proceeded to call him a momma's boy. We are beginning to sound like bullies I realize.
