This is our life...it's crazy, it's hectic, but most of all it's fun!

Wyatt's first haircut

Wyatt had his first hair cut today. This was right before we headed out:

Yep, he was pretty much rockin' a mullet, but we definitely had no shame in it. I mean, seriously, the only time he "can" is at this age. Plus, that little hair at the bottom sure did curl up pretty cutely under a hat and when he got a little sweaty.

Aunt Jacque cut his hair. He didn't want to sit on the booster chair so I had the priviledge of letting him sit in my lap.
He did so good! He just sat there and let her do her thing. I think he is questiong my decision here.

He looked so big once it was done. He even got a sucker for his model behavior. I'm sure his Auntie would have given him one even if he'd been a holy terror. Ha!
Doesn't he look so handsome?!

No more party in the front, business in the back.

I love his new haircut! I think he looks even more handsome, even if he does look a little older!

Nap time buddies

I got lucky the other day and Wyatt decided to sleep with me.

Okay, so maybe I made the decision for him but it was definitely a sweet 2 hours that we snoozed.
Don't you just love his messy hair in the back?

I do too.

Sadly, Wyatt's getting his first hair cut tomorrow. Yes, I am very upset about this, but it's one of those things that has to be done!
I love these rare nap times that we get together, so I most definitely have to treasure them!

Bump-n-jump

We recently took Wyatt to the bump-n-jump. It was a very random decision to stop in there and take him but we are so glad he did!

He had so much fun in there. We will definitely be going back soon so that he can burn of lots of energy!

House shoes

Say it isn't so...
He's big enough to be sportin' some house shoes.

Randomness

Fall television is so close to starting up!! Revenge and Vampire Diaries are the two I am most excited about. I'm also hoping How I Met Your Mother ends this season.

Does anyone watch Married to Jonas? I love it. I think Kevin is the most considerate husband out there even if it is for the cameras.

I think I like the transition to one nap per day. Wyatt's currently slept for nearly 3.5 hours. Thus, momma get a nap too!

We slept with our bedroom window open last night. Oh wonderful Fall has finally arrived!!

I'm beginning to feel big pregnant. I need to do a post on Pregnancy 1 vs Pregnancy 2 to have a reference for Pregnancy 3.

Yes, pregnancy 3 is an open door. Gasp!

I've got to pick out fabric for Claire's room.

And start my Christmas list so they hubs knows exactly what I want. We aren't much for surprises.

Whenever I see 10:00pm on the clock and I'm not already in the process of getting ready for bed I want to cry. Literally.

Someone special has a birthday this weekend!

Can I express how happy I am that I shouldn't have to wear shorts other than athletic ones until next Spring when my big ole booty will fit properly in them.

I've seriously got to stock up on Fall Scentsy scents ASAP. However, if I could burn Flutter and Skinny Dipping year round I would.

Mom-me from Wyatt is my favorite word of his hands down. The other morning he came running down the hall saying mom-me, mom-me, mom-me and when he found me in the bathroom he hugged my leg. Ryan found me as a pile of mush.

Bumpdate #2 - weeks 18 & 19

18 weeks: no picture.

19 weeks:

How far along? 19weeks

Total weight gain: 13 lbs. I've finally slowed down on my weight gaining. I was getting a little nervous...wait...I still am.
Maternity clothes? I heart maternity leggings. Big time. I even referred to them as the equivalent to sweatpants.

Sleep: Sleeping great!
Best moment this week: Seeing Ryan pick out an outfit for Claire.

Movement: Still feeling movement and they are stronger, but I'm lucky enough to have an anterior placenta. Wah wah. I would love to get to feel her more, but I guess she's enjoying having a punching bag.

Gender: We found out it's a girl so I was right!

Labor Signs: None

Belly Button in or out? In, but starting to stretch out.

Cravings: I seriously craved mashed potatoes and brown gravy today at lunch. I think Ryan was embarrassed.
What I miss: Sleeping on my tummy and having the will to workout.
Weekly Wisdom: I think I'm deleting this one from my weekly post because I seriously have zero. Give me a break, I have a toddler to tame.

Milestones: Getting some cute little girl clothes in our home!

First Fair

Last night we took Wyatt to the fair. I remember when we were pregnant and were so happy we would "never take Wyatt to the fair...at least not until he got to school and found out about it."

...Yah, so much for that.
I will go ahead and place blame on my "hankering" for cotton candy. Pregnancy at its finest.
He did so good riding the rides with the "big kids."

He looks a little distressed here, but it's only because the ride worker wanted to fill up the ride and Wyatt was getting mighty impatient.
Daddy even got to ride a few. I'm a little too pregnant now, so I was secretly envious. Haha
And! Wyatt got to ride this one by himself. I can't believe that he is old enough to actually do this, but yet he is. I think I've got to come to terms with the fact that I have a little boy rather than a baby.

It was fun watching Wyatt have a ball. The actual fair is still what is was15 years ago (which we decided was about the last time we were even at a fair)...and you know exactly what that is...

17 months old

Wyatt is 17 months old!!

I'm going to guess he is about 27-28 pounds. He is so active that I can tell he is slimming up just a hair. I'm going to guess too he is about 32 inches tall? I'm measure and weigh him next month for his 18 month post. (Year and a half? Whaatt?)

He is becoming so, so funny. He's always been funny but now he is down right hilarious. His facial expressions crack me up. See exhibit A:

He really enjoys taking off his diaper now days too.
I guess as long as he isn't taking them off in public we are going to be ok.

He goes to bed anywhere between 7:30 and 8:30 and sleeps for 12 hours. I just pray that his sister is as awesome as a sleeper as he has been. He takes only 1 nap a day anywhere from 2-3 hours.

Words you are using: Go, Puppy, Mommy, Dada, Coco (cookie), Bah (Bobby), Uh-oh, Oh-no, No.there are more, but I can't remember. I need to start writing them in my phone.

When you ask "What does a cow say?" He will reply with Mooo

Still enjoys school and still hates the nursery at church.

Favorite activities are still doing laundry and driving cars. Thank goodness for cooler weather in regards to the driving.

He hears about Claire daily and we always ask if he can say Claire. He's working on it for sure!

He is getting really good at feeding himself with his fork. He uses it for breakfast and dinner. He can't quite get the stabbing part so we have to stab his food, set his fork down, and he proceeds to feed himself. He sometimes won't eat food unless he is getting to use his fork.

He is starting to do imaginary play.

I can't believe my baby boy is nearly a year and a half old...time is flying but I am enjoying this age so much!!

Build a Bear

Wyatt had his first Build-A-Bear experience!

I was actually much more excited than anyone.
We picked a puppy. Well, Wyatt did. He would have actually chose a bright pink kitty if it were up to him, but we learned toward a cute little puppy.
His favorite part was picking out puppy's heart. We are talking we couldn't get him to leave the hearts alone. It was so precious.
We ended up making a birth certificate for the puppy. Ryan and I had to special task of coming up with a name since Wyatt obviously cannot. You want to know what we named him?

...

Dan.

Seriously. That's as good as it got. We never claimed to be the most creative couple around.

Even the lady who helped us was probably like what the heck? When she checked us out and read his name she said Dan? We didn't get compliments on his name.

Dan is doing well in the Davis household. We can ask Wyatt to go find Dan and he will go on a mission to find him so at least he respects his name.
And yep, he is quite the contender with Scout but are we surprised??

Baby # 2 is a...

Girl!!

We are so very excited that we are having a daughter!

I have known from the beginning that I was having a girl. Ryan has felt the same way too. So much so that when we found out our boy name, Liam, was the number 1 name in 2012 weeks ago we didn't even give much consideration to what we would name a boy. That convinced.

We had a girl name, Nora Kate picked out. Two days  before finding out Ryan began to question if that's really what we wanted to name her. I think I wanted to punch him in the face! Ha! Our other favorite name was Claire Elizabeth.  Well, this morning my appointment was scheduled immediately after I was to drop Wyatt off at school and I had to know what the baby's name was as soon as we found out. Well, we put both names in a bowl and at breakfast Wyatt got to choose what we would name his sister. Again, that convinced.
He chose the first name and I immediately opened it. It was Nora Kate.
But then he picked up the other and it was Claire Elizabeth.
My little multi-tasker with a muffin in one hand and baby's name in the other.

Since both were opened, I held one in each hand and asked Wyatt which name we should name his baby sister.

...

He chose:

So here she is...
Our sweet baby Claire Elizabeth!!

We are over the moon about having a boy and a girl! We are truly blessed getting to experience the best of both worlds!!
