This is our life...it's crazy, it's hectic, but most of all it's fun!

New Camera

So my early "Congratulations to yourself- you're having a baby!" present came in!!

I got myself a Nikon D3100. It's a fancy camera that we (I) decided to get before Wyatt gets here. I had lots of fun shooting my little fur baby getting some practice. I can't wait until I am taking pictures of Wyatt. I also got to take pictures of my Christmas stuff!

Of course I didn't take pictures of all my snowmen around the house and my typical Christmas decor...I got too occupied with my little pup.

Christmas Party

Ryan's work Christmas party was tonight. We always have a lot of fun simply because he works with a great group of people!

Last year 4 of us wore our "Tacky Christmas" attire...this year we bumped it up to 5. There was a $50 prize for worst outfit!! Eric (one of the originals) won this year and there is no questioning why. Sweaters are the way to go. Tess, his wife, and myself weren't in the contest mostly because we looked "pretty" haha! Next year hopefully more people will get on the bandwagon. Knowing there is a good prize why wouldn't they?! Here is the winner, Eric and his wife.

His work always give really, really good prizes...shot gun, PS3, tv's, blinds for hunting, tree stands, Xbox 360, camcorders, etc. Just really good gifts. They are overly giving during the holidays. Last year Ryan walked away with a new deer stand. This year? He got a portable DVD player...The thing about this is they draw randomly who gets to pick in what order. Ryan was
near the front and picked this jewel out. Why? For the baby. So cute, right? I love that he was thinking about the baby and one less thing we are going to have to buy. I'm lucky to have a good hubby...one who thinks about little Wyatt. There are 3 "Beacon Babies," as they are called on the way! Exciting times!

21 weeks

How far along? 21 weeks, 2 days

Total weight gain: 9

Maternity clothes? Nope!

Sleep: I thoroughly enjoy my sleep.

Best moment this week: Feeling Wyatt so often.

Movement: I've got a mover and a shaker.

Gender: Boy! Wyatt Hudson

Labor Signs: No. No. and No.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Cravings: Zip.

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly.

Weekly Wisdom: Also known as what I learned...just because you go a day without feeling the baby is no reason to panic...he's just tired and sleeping. At least that is what my husband told me. Sure enough, after almost 2 days of no movement he was rockin' and rollin' again.

Milestones: Buying lots of baby clothes in Branson!
Ryan and I went to Branson this weekend. Our mission? Finish up our Christmas shopping. Mission complete? Almost. We just have three more presents to purchase so I'd say we are doing pretty good. We did, however, buy lots and lots of cute clothes for our little boy. I'm pretty excited about them. I just picture playing dress up with him and planning "family outfits" for the 3 of us. Completely corny I know, but someone has to do it and Ryan and I do pretty well being all matchy-matchy. Add little Wyatt to the mix and you'll be super jealous. Ha!
I've been told that when you have a baby it no longer is all about you. Not all about Sarah? What?? I've been told on numerous occasions that I'm self-centered and want every and all the attention to be focused on me. Is this true? Yes and no. Yes, around my family and with my husband because I can get away with it and they adore me...and yes, the feeling is mutual. I adore them as much as they adore me. No, when I am around friends and other people. I'm okay with sharing the attention. I mean, seriously, with my best friends we do a dang good job of sharing the spotlight. Anyway, this weekend is the first shopping adventure that momma didn't get a single thing. Nada. Whattt??? Even daddy got stuff!! What is amusing is that I wasn't the least bit phased about it. Every store we went into I would nonchalantly look at stuff for me but my main focus was looking at and buying stuff for Wyatt. I absolutely adore it. I will love being a mommy I have no doubt in my mind. I will love putting another person ahead of my needs. Ryan and Wyatt are my boys. I love saying that and will always take the opportunity to let it roll out of my mouth. It just feels natural.
This is what Daddy picked out for Wyatt...

It's going to be so true. My husband is a charmer (well, used to be...he lost that about 2 years ago!). My son is going to be that boy. The one that steals everyone's little hearts. We love joking about all the "stuff" Wyatt is going to get into, be like, act like, etc. We are so ready to meet this little boy! The one that is currently letting me know he appreciated me talking about him all the time by kicking me constantly.

16 and Pregnant

I have a slight addiction to 16 and Pregnant.

It is without a doubt on the list of shows this little momma should not be watching. I have been a dedicated fan of the show since it started but watch the show now with a different set of eyes...mommy eyes.

I cry every single show and it is only during the birthing part. I don't know what it is. I think it's hormones. I think it's fear. I think it's confusion. I think it's paranoia. I think it's excitement. I think it's... Hmm. Sometimes I just don't know what it is.

Today I watched the episoded where the poor girl was in labor for 20+ hours and the one thing she didn't want was a C-Section. I can relate. That is the last thing I want too...She was struggling bless her heart. All these little teeny boppers make labor seem absolutely horrendous. I think I live in a fairy tale world where I don't think it's going to be that bad. I'm not normally a sugar-coater. In fact, I never am...but in this case I feel like I need to be. I see them crying, panicking, making it appear as though this is the worst day of their life. I am petrified. I've decided I want the birth process to be as natural as possible...epidural. What epidural? I like to think that I will be able to handle the birthing process. Yes, it is going to be the scariest day of my life and the hardest thing I will probably put myself through. The pain is going to be unbearable and to quote Knocked Up, "I can feel everything!!!" This will be me. My husband and my mother who are going to be in the room during the delivery of Wyatt will probably want to punch me in the face. That is, if I can even go without getting the epidural. My best friend is a Labor and Delivery nurse at the hospital where I will be giving birth. We have a $20 bet (she will claim $50) regarding this epidural. I want to win. More than anything. But, with that said, I'm not going to be the type of person that is going to be so head-strong regarding this matter, refusing to do what is best for not only me but mostly for my baby. Whereas I do not want a C-Section or to be scheduled for an inducement, I understand that somethings are out of my hands. My doctor will know what is best for me and I have faith in putting mine and Wyatt's safety into someone else's hands...Gah, I am so scared about child birth...mostly the pain! Haha

But, back to being 16 with a bun in the oven...I am always rooting for the couple. I never want to see a child born into a family where the dad has checked out and the mom is sitting there hanging on to the fact that they could still be "family." I just want to hug the poor girls and tell them, that there is a plan for you and it may be the farthest thing from what you want, but there is a plan and it's your job to make sure that you do what is best for your child. Daddy's who get mad at you for wanting to get your high school diploma and won't watch their child for a couple hours while you get caught up on school work are not the person for you. You want someone supportive...A daddy who goes and buys speakers for his car rather than saving money so you can get a place live and feel remotely independent of your families needs to grow up. Daddy's who are jealous of their babies are disgusting and will never change. I feel so terrible for these girls...Babies are such a blessing. Not everyone is lucky enough to experience what not only myself, but these kids are getting to. My heart breaks for women who are waiting days, months, and years to have the baby that they have prayed for and then there are the young kids that don't even seem the least bit excited about it, but more focused on whether the relationship with the baby daddy will work. I want to slap them in the face and say, be thankful. Cherish what you have. I think it's a frustration I have. I am beyond thankful to have little Wyatt growing inside of me. I am beyond thankful that I have a husband who is going to be a great asset in Wyatt's life. I love that I got pregnant when I did and I am forever thankful that He chose Ryan and I to be Wyatt's parents. I could never imagine being such a tender age and trying to raise a kid, especially alone. I am rooting for you girls that you will prove everyone wrong and you will make all the right choices from here on out for not only yourself, but those precious little babies you are producing!

December 1st?

It blows my mind that today is the first day of December! Where in the world has this year gone? I know that life starts to speed past you as you get older, but seriously? Slow. Down.

My house has been beautifully decorated for Christmas since the day after Thanksgiving and we got our (real) tree picked out and decorated that Sunday. Everything looks so pretty and I am so ready to post pictures, but I am waiting for my new camera to arrive...I went all out and got a fancy schmancy Nikon Digital SLR camera that had a pretty price tag on it. Crap. My justification for it though? Simple- I'm a camera whore. Bonafide in fact. I have always loved pictures. I have hundreds of pictures from middle school on of my friends and family and tons and tons of pictures of Ryan and I from when we met to present day. I love to document everything. I think that is why I love blogging as much as I do. Ryan has even admitted to me that he loves how many pictures (actual prints chronologically placed in our photo albums) we have. It's fun to look back and see all the fun stuff we have experienced together. I knew it would be appreciated someday. I can't wait to look back with our kids in 50 years and see all of life's blessings we have been able to experience. It will be wonderful. With little Wyatt on the way I wanted an awesome camera...ask and you shall receive. (Sometimes, haha!) In this case, I did receive. Kind of...considering I haven't actually got it in the mail yet. But! When it does, be ready for tons and tons of pictures of everything!

Tonight, we watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Love, love, love this movie!!! I love that I watched it with Ryan too for the first time tonight. While we watched it I addressed all our Christmas cards! We bought them last year and I've looked forward to addressing them this year and signing, "Love, Ryan and Sarah Davis" (in some cases -animal lovers and family- Love, Ryan, Sarah, Marley, and Baby Wyatt") Okay, okay...in some I even added Laney and Bobby. Ha! See I am a ridiculous animal lover and really do consider them family! I love married life. I absolutely adore all the little things you get to do together and that you are considered one.

I know Christmas will be totally different next year. We will have Wyatt around while we decorate the tree, knowing it is no longer for us anymore but for him. I will be wrapping a ton of presents solely for that little boy. We will have picture Christmas cards (yay!) signed the Davis'- Ryan, Sarah, (sans-baby) Wyatt, and our fur-babies. It will be one of the best things ever.

I'm still amazed that Christmas is just 24 days away. We will be finishing up our Christmas shopping in Branson. I cannot wait for it and actually getting to eat good this trip since our last one was a total bust thanks to the first trimester. I feel as though I could vomit thinking about the feeling I had back then.

I am ready for our first married Christmas. I look forward to many, many, more with my Bunney.

:side note: Favorite quote of tonight's movie: "No kid wants to play with a Charlie-in-the-Box."

Little boys...

There are a number of reasons I look forward to a little boy...

- Little boys love their mommas. I know I will have a "momma's boy," but not the kind of momma's boy you look at, roll your eyes, and my future daughter-in-law will be ashamed of. He will just know who loves him the most, will hardly ever say no to his requests for a new toy, and the one that will always be there to remind him he doesn't have to be so tough.

- I'm a dirty person. No, I do not mean I like lacking general hygiene, but rather I enjoy being outdoors and getting my hands dirty. I don't mind "hard work" and I prefer to be outside sweating my butt of during the summertime than being confined to a cool house. I honestly hope that my son loves the dirt, the outdoors, all the yucky things that he can find.

- I feel like it's fair to Ryan. Ryan loves hunting. I would be devastated if he didn't get to take our child hunting with him and experience all the fun it entails. I can actually say this because I've been on the hunting adventures with Ryan and it's special...I love that he will be able to share the bonding experience with our son. Even if Wyatt grows up and doesn't like hunting as much as his dad I will feel better knowing that he got to at least experience it.

- Along with that, I can picture my three boys (Ryan, Wyatt, and Marley) spending Monday nights watching WWE. Yes, wrestling...the thing that I am currently listening to while I blog because my husband insists "we" watch it on Monday night. Do I mind? Honestly no. I have my few shows that I must watch, but overall I am pretty laid back when it comes to the tv.

-Our second child will have a big brother. I loved having a big brother. I was, of course, the annoying younger sister, but there was never a doubt that my big brother had my best interest in mind. We would fight like cats and dogs and annoy each other simply because we could but I loved it. He gets me and my spoiled princess attitude and he's okay with that. I just love that Wyatt will be the protector of baby #2.

- Bats and balls vs. Barbies

- I am a fan of matchy-matchy. There is no question of that...but now I get to do matchy-matchy with two boys!! YES!!

- I will remain the Queen Bee...Which probably gives Ryan mixed emotions. I am a handful and I truly believe that Ryan is the only one brave (and crazy) enough to handle me. Two of me may have been a nightmare if we were having a girl first.

-I've always been told that boys are easier. How much easier is TBD, but either way I am liking the sound of that!

I can't wait to have little Wyatt here with us...consuming our mornings, nights, conversations, attention, wallets, etc. There is nothing that we wouldn't do for this little boy and we already realize that. Being pregnant has been the greatest thing that has happen to either of us so far. I love every single movement of his and love it even more that his daddy, Mimi, and Papaw have all got to experience it as well. It just makes it that much more real that we are going to have a son very, very soon.
