Saturday Laughs

Fact #1
This little guy spends just about every Friday-Sunday night with my parents.

Fact #2
We are very easily amused.

Fact #3
It takes a lot for me to get embarrassed.

Last night, like most Friday nights, Marley was to go spend the night with my parents. Mom called and told me they were going to come pick him up sometime that evening. We went on about our business and just waited until they arrived...they obviously were going to be our only visitors on a Friday evening. Then, we heard a knock at the door. Marley went nuts and was barking up a storm. We knew it was mom and dad so we humored Marley saying "get em" or "who is that?" Then he was cracking me up because he was barking while standing on two legs and I'd never seen him do that so I kept on laughing and telling him to get whoever was out there. This is all while still telling my parents "come in!" They knocked again and Marley continued being his cute self and I kept saying come in as well as who is that? This went on for seriously 3-4 minutes which is a long time when you are waiting for someone to open a door. Well finally, they knocked again and I finally got off the couch to open the door and make them come in when at the exact same time our door opened and an unfamiliar voice said," okay, but it's not who you think it is..."

No...it definitely was not. Instead it was our UPS man who was probably so embarrassed that he heard us telling our obnoxious dog to get him as well as to come on in!

I think I instantly went red. Thankfully, Ryan knew the guy so it wasn't as terrible. It could have been a lot, lot worse.

After it was all said and done my parents did show up not 2 minutes later and found the story down right hilarious. Naturally.

After I had somewhat of a stranger in my house I was a little embarrassed at how trashed my house looked. Seriously... with an 8 month old it's hard to keep the house picked up. When I know that people are coming over I do what most people do and pick up the places I know they will be. This time I was blindsided and I'm sure our UPS man now thinks we are slobs. UGH.

Oh well...all in all it made for a pretty funny story. Maybe only to us. Ha!

Um, ewwww...
